J.D. Vance, the US SenatorS. Senator from Ohio, who is also the author of what turns out to be a very, very disturbing book,

Hillbilly Elegi, despite being receiving, bipartisan support and acclaim when it was released in the summer of 2016 during the

Hillary Clinton Donald Trump campaign for the presidency.

Since then, many liberals have been surprised by Vance's rightward shift, including his support for Trump's bid for the presidency.

But as our guest today will point out, many observers were not surprised when Vance went

Oh, Maga. After all, his book does blame poverty on.

The Poor.

And their terrible decisions and choices that lead to intergenerational

impoverishment.

It's the kind of analysis neoliberal's love, blame the poor for their lot in life, and

let's just move on from this whole ridiculousness.

That's the way capitalism works.

There are winners, there are losers, and your choices determine what category you fall within.

Nothing else but your own personal individual choices.

Now lift yourself up by the boot straps, physical impossibility, and put your nose to the

grindstone, although I don't know why you would want to inflict self-harm, and get down to

the hard work you must do to be fairly rewarded for your production.
