All right. J.D. is an accidental personal finance expert, a regular guy who found himself deep in

debt. After deciding to turn his life around, he had everything he could about money and finance.

In 2006, he started the award-winning blog Get Rich Slowly, which money magazine named the

web's most inspiring personal finance blog and Time Magazine names one of the best blogs of 2011.

you personally, we want to get to know you, and then tell us a little bit about your business right

now. Okay, great. Well, I'm from Portland, Oregon, born and raised. I didn't ever set out to

write about personal finance. In fact, I always thought I would write about poetry and science
