Summary

Mike and May open this supporters’ midweek episode with a discussion of Senate Democrats’ failed IVF bill. Both Mike and May think there’s something to be said for the legislation itself while agreeing that it was more of a messaging bill than a serious legislative proposal. From there they turn to strong bipartisan support for emergency funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Mike expresses at least some surprise that no House Republicans seemed to object to nearly $3 billion in additional funding that was needed in large part because of the PACT Act, which over 80 percent of House Republicans voted against in 2022. They close by answering a number of listener questions on the pro-life movement, Trump’s manipulability, sex vs gender identity, US birth rate trends, and healthcare for inmates.
