Welcome back to the Lantern Rouge Cycling Podcast with Benji Naisen and to the recap of

0:04.5

Itzulia bus country stage three from Amurio to Aramwale Day, 167.7 km long stage,

0:13.7

fair amount of climbing, I think La Flam Rouge is to be believed at 2600 meters, and a lot of

0:21.6

that in the final 25Ks of this stage. A break was able to form or would form on the earlier

0:29.4

climbs, but it's really a finale that I want to focus on. There's two climbs, two point one

0:34.7

case at six percent, two point seven cases at six percent, and then the finale, the three point

0:41.6

one K climb at 10.2 percent, it's called the Santamari Adelio Aramwale, but it's the first

0:49.2

two case that are the steepest, particularly from 500 meters in to 1500 meters in averages 14

0:57.0

and a half percent with hair pins, classic bass stuff, then it levels off, and so eight and a half

1:04.3

percent, and then the last 500 meters, there's rolly little ramps, and I'll try and show it in the

1:12.0

profile, but there's up and down rises, and then the final 150 to 200 meters is downhill, very similar

1:18.9

to stage one of the Vuelta last year, which rock which won when he attacked on the final rise,

1:23.2

they had a casting carapas, and the same was here, there's two little rises, a little descent

1:28.4

section before then, last rise before a hut, and then a descent, so positioning would be crucial

1:34.4

Benji and I had Rogwich as the favourite for the stage, as of yesterday, the bookies supported

1:40.1

that heavily, I think Pagaccia's second favourite, Wood's third favourite or so, or maybe go to

1:46.1

not sure, no he or she here. Before we get into the recap, I want to mention our show partner,

1:52.6

LeCole, LeCole, produce performance cycling apparel, they're based out of the UK, but they got a

1:59.4

factory in Italy as well, that's where they produce all their clothing, they've just released

2:06.3

a Belgian cobbled classics sort of range in collaboration with Johan Museo, Daniel,

2:13.6

Ambassador, it's a limited edition collection, and you can see it through the link in the description,

2:19.1

but Benji, be honest with me, be focusing on Bass Country, or Shell the Price today.
