That's right.

The Eagles made a trade on Wednesday, and we're going to break it down.

And, man, I tell you what, Adam, before we even get to it, the Eagles have made a lot of trades this year.

Not one of the single one has been a blockbuster, but they have made a bunch of trades going back to the offseason.

Obviously, this one, they acquire cornerback from the Jets, Michael Carter. Not a corner. It's a nickel, according to Brick. Remember, what fix says. What's that? We're going to talk about that. Yeah, yeah. I think we know. He's a defensive back. I'll call him a defensive back from the Jeff. Michael Carter. And in turn, they give up Johnny Mechie. We hardly knew you,

the wide receiver that they brought in via a different trade and a seventh round pick. They have two.

So it'll probably, it'll be the better one of the seventh round picks. And away we go. So there's a

couple ways to look at this, right? You could sort of be skeptical and look at it and say,

it's just adding some depth at a versatile position inside or outside.

Or you could think that there's a wheel in motion here for the Eagles to want to play Michael Carter at the slot

where he's played before and if he's going to excel there

and then potentially move Cooper to Gene outside for this season. I wouldn't go beyond.

I think we were in agreement on that, but just really the best temporary fix for their secondary

this season could be that. Yeah. So DeGine has always been their in-house fail-safe.

Like if all does not work out, if you really want to win a Super Bowl and you're not

making a trade for a corner, this is the move.

Because you're not winning a Super Bowl with Ringo or, or Joy Jackson as your starting

corners.

I'm not criticizing them.
