Padua in the province of Padua, Italy. I welcome Lorenzo Fiori of the Enselda Foundation

traveling in Italy to take us to the wonderful ancient important city of Padua. I've

never been there. I've been to Venice, which is said to be nearby. Lorenzo, you're in

Padua and this is the Renaissance. What do you recommend for people first time visitors

to Padua? Good evening to you. Good evening John and good evening to all the radio listeners.

Well, I can say that even this weekend I'm a lucky man because I am in a beautiful town

which is nearby Venice just a few minutes by train closer to the sea to the erratic sea

200 kilometers east of Milan. Padua is a fantastic town and I would recommend any American

tourist that goes to Venice, don't miss Padua because Padua has a lot of things that

you can see just by walking in the center of this town. For example, Palazzo della Regione,

which is a beautiful palace with the architecture typically of the period of 1200, 1300. It was

a place where the community were used to live their daily life doing market trade. So the

other point is the famous Capella del Escruvieni, the Chappell, it's a fresco on the wall and on

the ceiling painted by Jobto. And it's famous because there is the first time that in a painting

same age as the Palazzo della Regione, you can see the famous comet with the comet. It

pulls the comet all day at those times because at those times when Jobto was alive, the

Hally comet were passing through the skies of our planet. And so this is fantastic because the

color, particularly the blue is absolutely something unforgettable. And finally last but not least,

even the beautiful Renaissance villas along the Brainter River made a design by another famous

architect and artist Paladio. We go from Padua to a dining in Padua and the price of pasta. Yes,

this beautiful Renaissance city has to deal with the same challenge that all of Italy must deal
