I want to ask those of you who are followers of Christ,

and I don't want you to raise your hand,

but I wonder how many of you would say

that there's a time in your life

that you are closer to God than you are now?

I wonder how many of you are really honest,

would say, yes, I am a follower of Jesus,

but there is a time in my life

that was actually closer to God than I am now.

A time when God seemed really near all the time.

You'd read His Word,

and He was talking directly to you in His Word,

like you'd open it up,

and it's like, that verse is for me!

And then you'd go to church,

and you'd hear that very same verse,

and you'd be like, wow, how that happened.

You would pray, and you would just know

that God would hear your prayers,

and then you'd often see Him respond.

It could be little things like you'd go to the mall

and you'd ask for a parking spot,
