You may have heard this phrase, it's very true that you simply cannot outgive God.

That's because generosity is one of God's defining traits.

In the very beginning, God gave existence to everything.

He didn't have to, but that's exactly what he did.

And then he gave humanity all of his creation in order to steward it for his glory.

And he gave humanity his image to share.

Even after our first parents fell,

he still gave them the promise of redemption.

And of course, he gave Abraham and his descendants

a promise to bless them by giving them the

promise land, not to mention a great name and a great family.
