I'm constantly amazed, flabbergasted, humbled by the fact that, you know, the first thing that Jesus did for his disciples after he resurrected was to cook for them.

It's an encouragement to all of us that even if we don't get another reason, we're going to continue to worship.

We're going to continue to say he's good in spite of the circumstances around us.

And that was a decision I had to make with the loss of my mom.

And you're going to go from that beautiful caterpillar into the most glorious butterfly,

and you ain't going to be tope and khaki, baby.

You're going to be hot pink, yellow, magenta, lime green,

and you're going to walk into rooms and change atmospheres.

You know, unfortunately, we spend a lot of time cutting branches instead of dealing with the

roots and really doing with the core of who we are and really understanding that.

And so really the primal question is what I call the thing underneath the thing that drives

everything.

It's about time because we're going there. It's time for the new. Yes, it's a new year and a new season for we're

going there. In fact, this entire season we are tackling the topic of new beginnings. We all need

a great do-over at some point in life, and this season, I want to teach

you how. And before you think it might be intellectual or too academic, let me promise you it

won't be. This season, I have different guests from different backgrounds giving their learnings,

life lessons on how to start again with a new beginning. From Food Network star and chef,

Artie Sikara, to award-winning gospel singer Anthony Evans Jr.

From the straight-up truth talking from Real Talk Kim to the eye-opening questions from counselor and coach Mike Foster, this season I want to reinforce that you indeed can have a new

beginning.
