Have you ever felt sad after making the right decision?

And that's what this is about today. I want to let you know that it's okay

to be sad after making the right decision. A friend of mine right now is going through a divorce.

It's in the early stages and I mean I was divorced in my early 20s. I write about it in my book,

Let It Be Easy. And I know the road ahead for her. It's going to be full, you know, full of different emotions and it can feel like, you know, your whole future is being ripped away and there is just a groundlessness that happens with big life changes like this.

And you know we've had a lot of conversations about this, you know, is it the right thing?

Are you certain, have you exhausted every avenue to make sure this is the right decision for you?

And she's resolute. It's a yes, it's a clear yes. She doesn't want it to be this way, but she just knows in her heart this is it right it's

over and they have you know a couple of young girls and you know she's just she's sad.

She knows that she's gonna lose access to her kids at least a portion of the time.

She knows that there are gonna be days when she goes into their bedrooms and

they're not there because they were their dad and she will look at their little toys,

their little weird squishy, what is that stuff that kids play with?

That weird squishy stuff, their posters on the walls, and they won't be there because they're

with their dad because she made the right decision.

Sometimes we think that conflicting emotions mean that we've done something wrong

or that there is something bad that's happening or there's perhaps you know maybe a wrong decision or a misstep somewhere.

It's not true.

This is part of what gives us this rich tapestry of emotions, you know, the human experience.
