Good morning everyone and welcome back to the Messy masterpiece podcast which had

in Tori. Unfortunately it's just sad today. I had to go down to Boca to record

the podcast and it got too late for me to record a Tori so I said hey you go on

to go to bed and I'll record it whenever I get home. So it's just me I promise to

keep it short and sweet and you today. I'm actually going to switch things up a bit and I'll

share that with you in just a minute before that. Wanted to let you know that there is no long

live. So hope to see you there and today we're picking up on day two of our Finding Peace Devotional

but as I was reading it I just wanted to maybe touch on a few points of it and then I wanted to

spend more time in prayer. I feel like we've been doing a lot of reading in some of these devotions

I've gotten longer and I feel like it can cut into our prayer time and I don't know how you are

feeling but I feel really heavy it could be Halloween weekend who knows right but I feel

definitely heavy and I just thought it would be fun to just kind of summarize this Devo on day two

and then spend more time in prayer and so some of the things I picked up as I read the devotional

is as the author Charles Stanley was talking about is that Jesus does not give us peace as the

world gives us peace and a quick little example that is that he used in the devotional is that

if you've ever been out on a boat or in a troubled sea the storms can get really wild they can go

up to a hundred miles per hour the wind blowing the boat all round and honestly there's a lot of

boat crashes we just don't hear about but what's so interesting is that just a hundred feet below

the surface the water is completely calm completely still and quiet no issues around and I love the

just the the metaphor of what God's peace looks to us in the midst of a storm and how deep
