outside is starting on friday drake's new album is out friday so we do have something to look forward to

the week has been mid so far i would say i'd say the vibes have been mid for me. I don't know about everybody else,

but that's okay. It was fine. I saw Double Worst Prada 2 on Monday night, and I'm here to give

my official review of the movie. Top line, I did really like it. I thought it was great. I thought

it was a really cute way to spend two hours. I thought they met the moment. I liked that they didn't shy away from having a difficult conversation about publishing and where it's going. It wasn't, you know, mild spoiler. It wasn't like, oh, happy ending. Everything's going to be fine. It was a very accurate portrayal or, you know, somewhat accurate portrayal of kind of where we are with

print. I had three main gripes with the movie. But I mean, I loved it. Like seriously,

it was so fun. It was cute. It was great. Music, outfits, all the good things. Okay. My number one

gripe was the pacing, which I know is probably just a sign of the times, but I felt like every single second was filled with plot or dialogue.

There was no just easy moments.

And I feel like, you know, I think about the first movie, there's that iconic scene with Nate and he's making the Yarlsburg, you know, Dean and DeLuca sandwich with,

there's like $40 of Yarlsburger in there, whatever. There's so little that happens in that scene, but it's such a world-building scene and it's so informative and it really helps develop the characters. And I just, that's one of the most iconic scenes, but nothing happens in it. He makes for a sandwich. But in this one, it was like, we're going on the plane. We got to go to Rome.

We're doing this. There's, you know,

blah, blah, blah, blah. Like, every single second was so, like, high-paced that it felt exhausting at times. I mean, I mean, you had a funny thing to say about you didn't even know when to go to the bathroom because you were yeah literally when I was watching I had to go to the

bathroom and I was like I don't know when I can leave because there's no break usually you have an inkling of like when a movie's going to end I'm okay it's probably going to end in like 10 minutes because like normal plot curves yes and I was like I don't know no it was it was very very intense but I think that people just need like a dopamine rush every single second because otherwise

their attention span goes away.

It's the TikTok effect, which is sad.

Okay, my second gripe, which was very similar to my issue with and just like that reboot,

I totally understand that time changes people and that

people grow and their personalities evolve as they age and have more experience. But I did feel

that Miranda Priestley, her personality kind of changed. And I don't, and I think the point was,

oh, you know, publishing being so bad, it's wearing her down. She's not as on her game as she used to be. I kind of get that, but I just felt like it felt, I don't know, it felt like she had different facets of her personality than in the first movie. Like, yes, you, you get worn down, you get tired from, you know, bad, bad industry and having pressure on you and whatnot. But it just felt like her core personality was like a little bit different, which bugged me. The final thing is, I thought that the billionaire character was too silly. He was like a little too silly for me. Like, oh, he's a billionaire, but he doesn't know that you can't land on the sun. I'm sorry. That was just like, that was a little over the top. A little over the top for me.
