Listen, I want to open the show by saying it was a rattling weekend to be an American.

It's a rattling time in American history. First and foremost, I want to say, rest in peace to Alex Prady, the ICU nurse, who was shot and killed by ICE agents in Minnesota this weekend. And second of all,

I want to say to the people of Minnesota, your bravery, your willingness to peacefully protest in

below freezing temperatures, your willingness to help your neighbors, your willingness to organize

and come together, you guys, you guys inspire me and I stand with you and you make me proud

to be an American.

I think that in difficult trying times in the United States, it's easy to go down the path of saying, I'm not proud to be

an American or I'm ashamed of America. And we are. And we are. But look for the good. Look for the

helpers. The people who are standing in below freezing temperatures, peacefully protesting, the woman in the

pink coat who put herself in harm's way to keep

filming so we have, so we can see what actually happened. You, you guys make me proud to be

an American and I will keep looking for the helpers and the good. Just a really, really, really

rattling time to, to live in this country and to watch what's

happening. No easy transition. No easy transition from that. But those are my very abridged

thoughts on the situation. Switching gears, I wrote a list yesterday, you guys, and I don't know what happened.

You guys do not understand this list, okay?

I wrote a list, which I thought would be helpful for all, saying everything I watched

in Dry January.

Now, please note, the list was not called my ranking of the Oscars Noms movies.
