Mike Pence wouldn't even acknowledge them, let alone defend them.

Instead, he stated his own positions, which are at odds with Trump's on a whole bunch

In the past, there's always been an assumption that a vice presidential candidate should

agree to support the major policy positions of the person heading the ticket.
