As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the hump day edition of the yard.

A little bit later recording than I wanted to be, just kind of how it works out sometimes.

But a lot to report, a lot to recap from yesterday's Mississippi State football media opportunity.

The news today is Mississippi State Baseball

will open exhibition play on October 18th,

that's a Saturday.

They'll face Florida State at the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Stadium,

first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.

We don't know if that's gonna be the first

Brian O'Connor game, even though it's the exhibition,

or if there will be a home exhibition.

We don't know that yet.

We don't know.

So we'll see how things kind of move forward with that.

But Mississippi State football will be in Gainesville that afternoon too.

So you can't double dip.

I guess technically you could.

You'd probably need a helicopter and have to leave before the baseball game was over.

But if you're not going to Gainesville to the swamp to see football,

you've got an opportunity to see baseball down at Pensacola.
