Hello everybody and welcome to the Derek Hunter podcast.

I'm your guest host, Dean Carriannis, here with you on what is known in the British world,

I guess you'd say, the Commonwealth world as Boxing Day.

That's a fun name for the day after Christmas. It has my wife as a recovering

Canadian. I don't really celebrate Boxing Day. I don't have any servants that I would box gifts for.

So I just like calling it that. I'm a writer, as you probably know by now. I've been on for Derek a

bunch of times. He's kind enough to invite

me back and so i like words i like the names for things and i'm not shy about saying the names

that i don't like and boxing day is one i like so good on you british world you can find me at

the history author show. And I thought some of you out there, well, all of you, but any of you who

are maybe driving home this weekend, you deserve an episode. Derek told me I am not going to be back

until the new year. And he said, if you want to

fill in for me, drop some shows, take over the mantle, feel free to do so, Dean. And so I said,

sure, Derek, I'll do it. And then he said, you need to get some reps. You need to get some more

reps, which is what he always tells me. Derek is kind of a personal trainer for people

on the radio. If that makes sense, he's always telling me that I should do more, that I need to get

out there more, that I need to have the confidence that I'm good at this, even though my preferred

medium is the written word. So i appreciate all of you encouraging him

to invite me back because that's a direct result of all of you telling him you enjoy hearing from me

otherwise he would cut me loose right now and he would not have me back so thank you all for
