you're ready to get your mind aligned with the truth of God's Word. And I have a little

bit of an embarrassing apology to make some of you.

at John chapter 12 verse number 16. And Jesus has just written into Jerusalem on a donkey.

And there is a Old Testament prophecy that said that the Messiah would indeed come to Israel,

writing on a donkey humbly. And here in John chapter 12 verse 16, we see his disciples

response to that. It says his disciples did not understand these things at first. But when

Jesus was glorified, that's meaning after the resurrection when he ascended into heaven.

And they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.

So what is that telling us? Well, first of all, it's telling us that the disciples in

the moment didn't recognize that prophecy was being fulfilled. They just saw Jesus on

the donkey writing into Jerusalem and they saw the crowds hailing him and praising him.

And they were no doubt caught up in the excitement of the moment. But later on, after Jesus

had died, after he had risen from the grave, and after he had ascended back into heaven,

they had this 50 day period of waiting between the time that Jesus went back to heaven and

the time he sent his Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost. And it's my guess that it's
