shows one of the owners of Bud's barring grill in Archbold confronting a thief.

On March 26th, a barring grill in Archbold, Pennsylvania,

captured one of the more brazen thefts you'll ever see on its security cameras.

But was it a one-off crime?

Or was this part of something bigger?

Police believe it could be organized crime. And it's happening at businesses all over the Northeast.

Elizabeth Worthington joins us from WNEP in Northeast Pennsylvania, where there has been a recent

string of bizarre thefts. Elizabeth,

how did you first hear about this? Yes, it's very bizarre. We heard about it from Facebook.

So a restaurant in our area shared a post from a company that they supply a product to,

and we went to that company's Facebook page, and it turns out

they've been posting about these incidents dozens of times a day from restaurants in our area

and up and down the East Coast. And it turns out that it's a pretty widespread issue.

I was going to ask, it seems like many of these thefts are incredibly bold with these thieves

even hitting the same business multiple times. How big is this problem? How frequently are these

thefts happening in the area? Well, that's the thing. We don't know exactly how much it's happening
