It was a horrendous crime, and it was something that no person deserved,

not just because it's, you know, our child,

but I think the country would have felt the same way had it been any child.

So it's just, it's not a way for anyone to have to end their life.

Caught on video showing Bacari Henderson trying to escape a deadly mob chasing him in the Greek island of Zikynthos.

It's kind of comforting to know that there is a video so that people can't say, oh, I wasn't there because, yes, you were there because you are on the video.

No one was charged with murder. Six suspects were sentenced on lesser charges. Three other men were acquitted.

For them to come back and say no one was charged with murder was very, very upsetting for everyone.

To not get that was, it just was a shock to everyone.

We just really had no preparation for that news.

Going out there a black man, because if someone takes a selfie, I just, I just couldn't believe it.

I really couldn't believe it. For nine or ten people to chase him down in the street, literally beat him

to death and not get charged with murder, made us feel like they didn't even view him as a human.

I mean, he was just viewed as an object or an animal

or something. So it was, it was very painful. In July of 2017, Austin, Texas native Bacari

Henderson was murdered. Far away from home on a Greek island. His family is still waiting for justice.
