When I am wrong I will admit it and today is one of those occasions

When the news broke last week

It was a pretty big deal that the Houston Police Department had simply closed out, not

investigated, 2,000 cases. Now this will be the Sylvester Turner legacy. This, the crime, the corruption, now this, the

the, the, the, I truly believe that there were illegal deals done with regard to the airport and I truly believe that if Pappas and Whitmire and others pursue this with vigor.

I truly believe you're going to be shocked.

I have good reason to believe you're going to be shocked or you're not going to be shot.

So Esther Turner is a crook.

but I was wrong about something the story came out that 2,000 cases had not been pursued by the Houston Police Department

and that a decision had been made by one of the top chiefs.

This is the kind of thing that the chief has to know about, it's the kind of thing that the mayor should know about and probably did. And I was wrong because I said I've heard from

multiple officers, some of whom had very close involvement either in the Chief's office or in the

places that this decision was being made in the actual department where the

investigations would be, who are no longer with the department and felt

comfortable telling me these things as long as I did not mention their identity,

that instead of 2,000 cases, there are over 200,000 cases, or about 200,000 cases. and I was wrong, that's not true.

At present it is 264,000 cases.
