Summary

The fight between Texas and the Biden administration and the Supreme Court is a teachable moment. We are seeing how easy it is for red states to push back if they actually choose to do so. I explain the dynamics of this fight and how we are still not at the inflection point, but so far we have all the ingredients for a successful interposition. It’s also interesting how conservative media is not pressuring Trump to comment on this issue. Next, we’re joined by Missouri state Senator Denny Hoskins (R), a Freedom Caucus member who was just removed from his committee chairmanship for actually pushing conservative legislation. He is working to expose the “campaign conservatives” who run in deep red states but then govern like Democrats. Hoskins is also running for secretary of state and promises to push an agenda of in-person, Election Day, paper ballot elections with cameras in the polling stations. 1:16.4	Constitution. We have the butings of other states working together to maybe make Red States Red again and form a compact together to fight against that.
1:28.0	And we actually have a conservative media somewhat focused as their top issue aligning with what
1:36.2	should be the top issue of the day. So this is really good. Obviously we had
1:41.7	yesterday Texas Governor Greg Abbott putting out
1:45.1	his letter explaining the constitutional case for why Texas can defend against the invasion and put up their barriers and enforce the law against
1:56.8	the invaders and signaling his intent to continue doing so despite the Supreme Court ruling.
2:07.4	And we had a bunch of governors led by Ron Desantis
2:11.6	and others standing with Texas but to varying
2:15.0	degrees you got to look at the nuances of their statement and I'm going to get
2:19.1	to that in a moment and we have people focused on it. Yeah, we got to stop the invasion at all costs.
