Following Christ is not about taking on the labors of another religion.

It is about turning your life over to Him and receiving in return his life, his power, his ability to cope to handle life

life situations exactly as he handled them. As avid followers of Christ, sometimes we set personal goals that can't be attained.

Like children, we want to please our Heavenly Father, and so we're on our best behavior. We perform. We assume that our

moral behavior will impress him. Well today on Insight for Living, Chuck Swindall

teaches from Hebrews Chapter 4. In this section of scripture we discover God's

counterintuitive plan for engaging with him. Today's study is part of Chuck's

biographical series on Jesus called The Greatest Life of All.

And he titled today's message,

It is Best to be.

I was raised in a rather large family and usually our home was a rather loud and noisy place to be.

Every once in a while there would be an unusual. a rather loud and noisy place to be.

Every once in a while there would be an unusual moment of hush.

Just silence.

And my dear mother, taking advantage of the moment,

would say,

children, an angel is passing through.

I love the line.

I can see the brush of angel wings, feel the presence.

The scripture teaches that we entertain angels unaware.

We take the Bible literally here and I believe that there are angels and I believe every once in a while one
