Good morning and welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. I hope things are well with you wherever you are today. I hope it's a payday for you and get out and have some fun. Maybe get caught up on some bills. It's nearly the first of the month. You know, so cash those checks and come on.

Some of you all know the reference, some of you don't.

But reality of it is we still got some Mississippians

around our state and some neighbors and friends

and border states that are still dealing with some difficult things.

Governor Tate Reeves and others met with some of the media yesterday and kind of shared some updates on that.

And the one thing that I go back to, and again, I don't know the job, right?

And so a lot of times we have a lot of commentary, me, you, everybody else.

It's well-intended, but it's kind of based out of ignorance, right? And I don't mean that with a negative connotation.

Like you guys, as much fun as you think this job is that I have, it's a lot of work.

I mean, it is.

It's a lot of work.

And then sometimes you're writing a book on top of doing all this work.

And so, like every time somebody loses a password, right,

or somebody's computer updates and all of a sudden there's an issue, like, it's not just the

writing gig. There's the customer service aspect of it, and we try to be responsive to all that

stuff. And there's just a lot of stuff that goes into it that you guys never see. That's the

case in every job, right? Like? I don't know your job.

Chances are, I don't know it. I may have done something similar at some point in my life,

but I maybe can't do it as well as you can. And so when I say these things, I want to make sure

you understand. I'm not trying to speak authoritatively. But I think it's fair to say that maybe, maybe we should have mobilized

the National Guard a little earlier. I think that's the one thing that I would come back with and
