The Israeli government is meeting to vote on a ceasefire resolution that would see the release

of the hostages in Gaza in exchange for the release of Palestinians held by Israel.

The Israeli government has yet to officially say the Gaza conflict is over, but that's the expectation.

The ceasefire could go into effect as soon as tomorrow, during which Israeli forces will partially withdraw from Gaza.

President Donald Trump says the remaining hostages could be released early next week.

Although the remains of the deceased hostages must also be returned, Trump acknowledged

that Hamas may not be able to produce all of them. He's still aiming to travel to the region

soon and says he's optimistic that any outstanding issues not covered under phase one of his

ceasefire agreement will be sorted out. President Trump's Justice Department continues to pursue his political opponents.

Today, it's New York Attorney General Letitia James.

She was indicted by a grand jury today on two charges,

bank fraud and false statements to a financial institution.

James has been under investigation for mortgage fraud

for a home she helped her knee spy in Norfolk, Virginia in 2023.

These charges are baseless, and the president's own public statements make clear

that his only goal is political retribution at any cost.

Her relationship with Trump has been contentious for years.

James campaigned on promises to investigate Trump, and she ultimately won a civil fraud case against Trump,

his adult sons, and his real estate business last year, when a judge found them liable for

inflating the value of their properties to get favorable loans and insurance rates.
