President Donald Trump has had an eventful first day in Saudi Arabia.

As well as announcing a $600 billion guarantee of Saudi investment in the U.S., Trump also

revealed plans to lift sanctions on Syria.

I will be ordering the cessation of sanctions against Syria in order to give them a chance

at greatness.

Here's CNN's Becky Anderson and what this means for Syria and its new government

after the fall of the Assad regime.

The lifting of those sanctions absolutely crucial for this government, this new president.

To all accounts, Syria needs something like $400 billion in reconstruction money.
