Two Democratic state lawmakers were shot, one was killed in what has been described as an assassination.

Last night, after a massive manhunt, authorities in Minnesota caught a 57-year-old man

that they say murdered Melissa Hortman, the top Democrat in the House, as well as her husband.

A man also is alleged to have shut state senator John Hoffman, a fellow Democrat, and his spouse
