To help us understand the moving story in Gaza in the north of Israel, Lebanon,

and from the east Iran and the Houthis.

Jonathan, I go right to Gaza.

The war is now come down to a hunt for Sinwar, the boss of bosses.

The news reporting is that Sinwar has taken all the power to himself. No replacement for

Dief, no replacement for Hania, and he's dug in in Con Yunus. Why? Is this the measure of the defeat? Good evening to you Jonathan.

Good evening sir, thank you for having me and well that news report is

partially correct because even before Hania met his makers in Tehran last week, the situation in Gaza was that Hamas,

that the sine war was really the only source of authority and power in Gaza.

He was the one who has been delaying negotiations.

He was the one who has decided repeatedly not to return hostages

and strike a deal with Israel.

And he's the one who's been leading the most extreme and militant line in Gaza, and now

he has simply cemented his grip on the terrorist organization. He has been appointed by the

governing council, the Shura Council of Hamas as the Hamas political leader

as well.

So you know that by the way that just might be because they don't really have other high profile

personnel to do it.

Most of them are already expired and won't be terrorizing anybody so maybe they're a little bit
