and we're thrilled to speak with Jonathan Conriquez, a man whom we've watched for many years help us understand the conflict in and around the Middle East.

Right now we have the conflict globally because of these events of the last days that are still being unpacked.

We have a statement from the Ayatollah of Iran, the supreme leader.

In part, it reads,

My congratulations on our dear Iran's victory over the U.S. regime.

The U.S. regime entered the war directly because it felt that if it didn't,

the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. It entered the war in because it felt that if it didn't, the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed.

It entered the war in an effort to save that regime, but achieved nothing.

Jonathan, a very good evening to you.

First, I'll begin with the conflict watching it on remote and Zoom.

I would see the popping of intercepts overhead of Jerusalem,

and I would hear the reports, the after-action reports of strikes in Tel Aviv, those that got through the screen. How's the mood of the public right now in this pause called a ceasefire. Good evening to you, Jonathan.

Well, good evening, John. I think the move is resilient. It is quite happy because there are

many, many military achievements in what Israel did against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

There's room for optimism.

There's talk now on Israeli streets in news that maybe the military achievements

against the Islamic Republic will unleash positive powers in the Middle East

and expand the chances for normalization and peace. And of course, however,

there is still the bitter reality of still having to fight Hamas in Gaza, still having

50 of our brothers in Hamas captivity for more than 640 days.
