I'm Ravi Gupta, and I am finally back in the United States, one full month away.

I want to thank all of you for sticking with us.

Last week's episode, Part 1 of the history of Israel and Palestine, was one of our most listen-due episodes. And so because of that and because of some of our most listened to do episodes.

And so because of that and because of some of the comments that I got from you,

we'll be doing a part two.

My hope is to get that up later this week.

But I'm really excited to welcome back Isaac Saul from Tangle.

He's been writing about this issue ever since the beginning of the conflict and has a lot of experience

before this conflict thinking, talking, writing about it. And so I wanted to welcome him

in a first of what will be many episodes we do on the contemporary questions around this

conflict and will continue to lay out the history as well. I also want to continue to encourage

you all to send in your questions. I've got a long list of questions that I've gotten even from

the first history that we did. And I'm sure this discussion will prompt many, many more.

But before we go any further, Isaac, welcome back. Yeah, thanks so much for having me and welcome back to you. Glad to be

back on the show together. Yes, I noticed that you had written about this from, you know, the very

first days after the Hamas attack. And so I figured you'd be a great person to talk to. For your

sake and our listeners' sake, you know,

what we want to tackle today, there's so many things we can talk about, but sort of three

buckets of issues. One is just an update on the current situation. Two is the internal debate

within the United States. And then the question of the media and how the media is covered

is. So that's, those are three issues that we're going to hit.
