A recommendation to the Prime Minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu, to review a speech from 2009

15 years ago made by then Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu about the road forward for a two-state solution to recognize a Palestinian state.

On the West Bank or the West Bank in Gaza, there were many combinations presented all those years of looking

for a two-state solution.

Mr. Netagnanahu made the speech in 2009.

He had conditions. Conditions were very reasonable. Who could object to asking the

Palestinians to acknowledge Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish state and insisting that the new Palestinian state not be

weaponized to be a threat to the security of the state of Israel, its next-door

neighbor, two conditions that do not seem in any

fashion difficult, except they are.

First, we'll deal with the Israeli side.

Peter, you make the case that there are at least two ministers on the war cabinet who would object.

Who are they and why?

The two ministers are Bitzal Smultrich and Itemar-Bengvir, the first is the finance minister and second, National Security

Minister.

They represent Netanyahu's hard right-wing flank and they both support the idea of

greater Errits, Yastrael. That means in Israel that maintains sovereignty over all of the

West Bank today in Samaria. And it seems now Gaza Strip, although Gaza does not have the same

place in the Jewish heart and mind and

traditions as Judean Samaria which is the heart of biblical Israel. In any case it seems they're keen to to restart settlement
