I'm recording this on Valentine's Day, but by the time you hear it, it'll probably be after Valentine's Day, but I hope everybody had a nice Valentine's Day.

Today's episode's going to be a little bit different than what I typically do for a solo episode.

Usually when I do a solo episode, it has a little bit more

of a single focus. It's a little bit of a narrower focus than our typical Media Roots radio

episodes when Abby joins me. But today, this episode's going to be a little bit more,

the content of it is going to be a little bit more like a typical

media roots episode because there's just been a lot of shit happening that it's hard to pick a

subject that's really worth delving into out of all these different subjects that I plan to

talk about today. But just to give you a little recap of what's been happening, there's been a lot of

interesting news having to do with Israel, Israeli bombings happening in Syria, but also Netanyahu's

own government in Israel is facing a serious, serious corruption indictment. And the Israeli police today announced that they

believe that the best option would be to detain and arrest Netanyahu, which is pretty

incredible. So there's something really interesting brewing there that's barely getting any coverage in the

US media um and i'm just going to start this podcast with with what's going on there and also delve

into a little bit of of sort of these borderline world war three like scenarios um that keep popping up

and unquincidentally they have to do with Israel. There was also

news that came out recently. That was a surprise to me. Other people I've talked to who have been

following Israel very closely, they already knew about this. This is the first time I heard about it,

is that Israel actually works with the Egyptian government to conduct drone strikes in their country.

So Israeli drone strikes are happening in Egypt, sort of on a semi-regular basis with Egypt's government's permission.

Which just kind of blew my mind that that happens. But as we already know, there are
