Six weeks in, what is the situation in the war between Israel and Hamas?

Unholy, two Jews on the news. I have to tell you, Jonathan, we are week six. The mood of the country is still quite gloomy.

We are definitely still overcome with sorrow and also worried. Remember how in the first week

we talked about the fact that Israel is a country with only one degree of separation, right?

Everyone knows someone who is at the party. Everyone knows someone

who is living on the border, the Gaza envelope, or someone who is one of the first responders,

the soldiers of the police men and women. Now it's everyone knows someone who is fighting the war in

Gaza. Remember, Israel is a conscription army. You of of course, know this. That means mandatory military service.

A lot of young people fighting this war and reservists.

So that means a lot of parents around the country not sleeping for the past three weeks

since the ground incursion began.

This is the mood.

And when you think of the fact that only this week, you have some of the victims of the massacre of October 7th identified.

Only now that, of course, tells you something about what happened to them.

People like Vivian Silver from Kibbutzberi was 74 years old, a peace activist, who was considered or thought to have been taken captive.
