If you're wondering what Tridex is up to, well, of course, nothing good, but Pratt is walking you

through some recent examples.

Tridex, again, often arrives as a fake voicemail or a fake shipping notification from

THL, FADX, and others.

And actually makes the user work a little bit to get infected.

It first then downloads a zip file.

It has to be opened and the visual basic script inside that zip file has to be executed.

And then you probably heard in the news the stimulus package that is about to be finalized in the US. I'm expecting quite a few scams to sort

of latch on to this. People have a lot of questions about how this will work, how these

checks will be distributed. And I'm pretty sure that some enterprising bad guy will probably come up with a site that'll

ask you for your bank account number and the like in order to transfer the money to you.

Also, still lots and lots of other COVID-19 related scams just before recording

got sort of one of those really weird kind of ransom attempts where someone claiming to be my

neighbor actually says that unless I transfer some money via Bitcoin,

they're going to infect me.

And HP Enterprise released a critical update

for some of its SaaS solid state drives

that will fail after exactly 40,000 hours of operation unless you apply this update.

There have been similar issues like this before.
