Welcome to Through the Bible, I'm Steve Sweats, your host. As we continue this amazing journey through

the Old Testament Book of Isaiah, our teacher Dr. J. Vernon McGee has a lot to share with us,

including the value of our Christian service. But first Greg Harris is here

to update us on the growth of Through the Bible in Home Groups, so Greg I know that we were both in Africa recently

in different countries and then together let's talk a little bit about that.

Yeah and speaking of Christian service if you pray for this ministry if you financially support if you

invest if you share it with others you're part of everything that we're going to

be talking about today which is exciting now you and I have talked for a long time about home groups that started in South Asia, simple concept. In fact I heard Dr. McGee say it when we were going through Colossians, he said the church started in the home and he believes it will end up in the home

yeah and here we are so we were in three different countries and each one we were

talking about home groups I was in Uganda you were in

in I was in Ethiopia and then we converged together in Nairobi

in Kenya and each of these visits involved talking to people in Africa about starting home groups and that we have talked

for years about could it happen in another region.

God is doing it.

Yeah and God has been so faithful as we did the training in Ethiopia.

I said this in a previous program that the plan was to have 20 to 25 pastors and

we had more than double that, which creates some challenges because it's really meant to be training in a smaller

environment but we made it work and just it was the first time I had seen the
