Welcome to Through the Bible. I'm your host Steve Schweetz and I'm so glad that you've hopped

aboard the Bible bus as our teacher Dr. J. Vernumiki makes the connection between this claim made by

our Lord and Savior in John 8 verse 12 and the prophecy found in the passage that

we study today in Isaiah chapter 60.

Before we begin, let's say hello to Greg Harris through the Bible's president.

And Greg, the last time that I saw you, before we were in the studio now, we were in Africa

together. We were. We were it's a little strange isn't it we were a couple

tens of thousands of miles away and we took a two-week trip to Africa and as we often do now we we split up for one week so we can kind of

maximize our exposure you went to Ethiopia yeah and and we'll talk about that and

then I went to Uganda and then we'll talk about that and then I went to Uganda and then we converged back in Kenya at a conference in Nairobi.

So we have a lot to share but I think before we jump in let's answer a question for people why do we go on these

trips yeah that's a good question and the answer is our mission is missions that's one of

our core values and that's what we focus on and our commitment has always been for the money that comes in the

support that comes into through the Bible at least 50% of it is going to go out

into missions which makes no sense if you're a ministry that's

trying to make it with expenses but we that's always been our commitment and

God has always faithfully provided for this ministry. Yeah, absolutely.

And it's also important for us because we are stewards of the people that send us their

hard-earned money and want us to invest it. We want to make sure
