If you ask most people on the street, what's the main problem with Christianity?

They would most likely all say the same thing.

There are so many hypocrites in the church.

They say one thing on Sunday but live differently the rest of the week.

In our study of Isaiah 58 and 59, we hear the same complaint.

People might be very religious, going through all the rituals, putting on an outward display of religion, but their hearts are far from God.

And then they wonder why God doesn't seem to hear them when they call out for help. Is God listening? Does he even care? Is he able

to save? Well, the Prophet Isaiah had an answer. He said, Behold, the Lord's hand is not

shortened, that it cannot save, nor his ear heavy that it cannot hear,

but your iniquities have separated you from your God and your sins have hidden his face from

you so that he will not hear.

Wow, what an amazing verse.

Why doesn't God hear people when they pray?

Why doesn't God do something to help them?

We'll get more insight into those questions in this study, but the opposite is also true.

If you've hung out on the Bible bus for very long, you've heard amazing stories of people

who hear the truth, humbly acknowledge their need for God and then turn to

him for salvation. God hears their cries and comes to their rescue. Those are great stories,

aren't they? Well, our world prayer team is praying for people to hear the truth and respond, one country
