Welcome to Through the Bible with Dr. J. Vernon McGee, I'm Steve Sweats and so glad that you've hopped aboard the Bible bus as we travel to new heights in the Old Testament book of Isaiah.

Our study today is going to cover Isaiah 47 and 48.

Now this is a significant section of scripture that focuses on God's

judgment against Babylon. Now while the historical lesson in these passages is

interesting we'll find some additional important lessons to apply to our lives today.

But before we dive in, Greg is here with a quick update on our world prayer team, a most committed

group of prayer warriors who are praying this week and every week around the world.

And literally for us a dream come true.

Do you remember more than 10 years ago we started talking about wouldn't it be great

if we kind of had a group of people that would

commit to pray for a different country every day?

And now we have over, I think, 16,000 people.

And these people are really opening the emails by the way.

It isn't just some list that is filling people's inboxes.

Yeah, and just a shameless plug if you're not on that elite team of prayer warriors.

I was really surprised. I thought it was going to be a big ask for us

to get these people to pray for us.
