We are in Isaiah, Chapter 46. We just got done hearing a lot

about Cyrus, you know, the anointed one of God, the unlikely shepherd. I think that would be a

safe way to describe Cyrus. God says, I'm raising him up, man. He's going to subdue some nations

and stuff, but it's going to be good for you.

You probably aren't going to like it because, as we discovered last episode, these people never liked their saviors.

It doesn't matter like how they show up. Whoever God's using, they don't like them. That's not the one they want. And this doesn't change when Jesus shows up either. You know, it's almost like Jesus told a parable about this, that they will just keep rejecting the ones I send to them until finally, I think surely when I send the real deal, God and flesh, my own son, they'll respect him. Nope. They won't do that. And so don't respect Jesus. They won't like Cyrus. They won't like Moses. They won't like any of that. So we ended there where God said, hey, listen, don't get a mistake. And I'm a God who hides behind things. And so, you know, while you have deliverers, I'm the one that's doing the delivering.

And guess what? Here in Chapter 46, we get to more talk about idols.

The pendulum is swinging, man. We're going back and forth, back and forth.

Yeah, shocking, we're hearing more about idols in Isaiah.
