Few things are more devastating to hear than being told that you have a life-threatening illness. Maybe you've been

told that you've got cancer or some other overwhelming disease. You know life really

does change in an instant with this kind of news. Welcome to Through the Bible. Now

we're studying Isaiah 38 today where King Hezekiah was told that he was going to die.

At the same time Jerusalem was experiencing a life-threatening attack from Assyria, a storm within and a storm without. How does a godly

person persevere through this kind of stress? Well we'll find out in just a few moments.

He's going to be sharing his own experience with cancer when he was given only three months to live.

Recently while the Bible bus journeyed through the Psalms, Dr. McGee read these verses,

I knew the Lord intended for me.

Psalm 77 verse 19 and 20.

Your way was in the sea, your path in the great waters,

and your footsteps were not known.

You led your people like a flock. My medical situation is like a personal version of the

Israelites escape from Egypt in that when they got to the end of the road in a seemingly impossible

scenario God made a way or rode through the waters.
