Isabel McFadden is here to talk about Madeline McCann and what's up with the DNA.

So welcome, Isabel.

Hello, Roberta.

How are you?

Very well.

So I am really excited to talk to you about all the explosive revelations that have

been happening with this case, mostly from the Maddie podcast, which is excellent if you

haven't heard it. So my first question is about the McCann DNA.

What are we talking about when we talk about the DNA in the McCann case and who collected it?

And how was it tested?

Sure.

Basically, the Portuguese forensic team on the site conducted testing that was to be at the instruction of the FFS,

which was a now defunct, debunk laboratory in Birmingham, England.

Many of the Portuguese forensic scientists have long wondered why Portugal allowed for all of our samples that could have very easily been tested, why they were sent to England.

Many argue why wasn't, why weren't the items collected, sent it to maybe Switzerland or Germany or a more neutral party. They believed at the

time that Portugal wanted to show goodwill, did faith.

Well, maybe that was the biggest mistake because they lost complete control of our samples,

and a lot of it, as you can see in this report was

destroyed so it just became it just became like there was a lack of trust when two reports

were created one was the initial report that Maddie's DNA had a very strong match of 15 out of 1911.
