Tim Heidaker might be best known as one of the stars, along with his collaborator, Eric Weirheim, of Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job, a kind of surrealist sketch comedy show that ran

for five seasons on Adult Swim. Tim has acted in movies like Ant Man and the Wasp, Bridesmaids,

and the Jordan Peel film Us.

He performed stand-up, playing a kind of toxic masculinity bro comedian who's just a complete

asshole. Tim also co-hosts the podcast series on cinema, playing a guy named Tim, who reviews

movies but doesn't really like movies.

Tim Heideker is very funny.

And then there's Tim's music, which is often not so funny at all.

He's put out a few albums now of sincere singer-songwriter music,

where he is very much in touch with what sure sounds like depression to me, like major

depressive disorder, clinical stuff. But Tim has never been diagnosed with depression. And I've

always been interested in that situation with some creative people. Is it a case where the artist

just hasn't received a diagnosis for something that they

clearly have? Or are they doing fine and yet are capable of creating around that idea of
