Summary

Today, we’re continuing our exploration of friendship with the brilliant Michelle Elman.

We spoke to Michelle about how friendship is not taken seriously - and female friendships in particular are trivialised. Michelle gave us practical advice on how to operate in a world where the odds feel stacked against our friendships - where they seemingly have to battle with social media, our adult responsibilities and our romantic relationships.

Our conversation covers everything from confrontation to ghosting - so if you feel like you need help being a better friend, or if you want to navigate a friendship break up - this is the episode for you.

1:30.0

And I think rather than closing any circles last week's episode just opened more for me.

Do you know what I mean? We're kind of ready to have it, right?

2:02.5

Totally. And I think I'm fascinated, but we really dig into this in the episode about how female friendship specifically is framed as like trivial and frivolous and just like something of it, you know, like girly and stupid.

2:16.9

You know, it's just a bit like surface level.
