Two decades after Scott Peterson was sentenced to death

for the murder of his pregnant wife Lacey in a very high profile trial. Now the

Los Angeles Innocent Project said last week that it had taken up his case.

The development marks a significant breakthrough for the 51-year-old Scott Peterson who has long maintained his innocence and claimed all

long that he received an unfair trial. Now these might look like two any
