0:41.2	of a tress player I I guess that guy is, he's got, you know, as I thought about it, I completely understand why he's doing it and through the course of the show, we can lay that out. He is bombing military targets specifically airports and
0:58.0	attempting in his words to demilitarize, dennotify, and decommunize Kiev in an effort to defend the Eastern Oblast,
1:10.3	which is those independent provinces that he recognized their independence,
1:16.2	but also Russia itself.
1:18.5	And this is, actually, he really laid out in a speech just on the 21st the importance of Ukraine not being in NATO and how aggressive NATO is and I mean now I'm going to read some of those pieces of the speech later on in the show
1:35.6	but it really clarifies why this does feel like what is popular to say an existential
1:41.7	crisis for him. Now of course Biden's approach is totally different.
1:46.1	He says that Putin is invading Ukraine as a first step to reconstituting the USSR, to even expanding further into Europe.
1:54.8	So as a response, Biden is sending an additional 7,000 troops to Germany,
1:59.4	and he insists that everything that he is doing is 100% to defend NATO countries, which are around there.
2:06.7	NATO is basically taking over all of Europe, and it's important to note that NATO's commander on the ground is always a US general named by a US president.
2:18.0	So you can think of it as basically 30 European countries being controlled by the US military and we're augmenting them
