All right, man. If you were to say what a good band photo would look like, what do you envision?

The first thing that comes to mind is the three or four band members wearing jeans, denim jackets,

somebody's got long hair, looking sort of foreloin, kind of a dark photo, sort of silhouette.

You can kind of make out some features. Everybody's like super serious and badass.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. Why did you do a photo shoot?

Yeah, I got a gig tonight and the venue was looking for a photo and our photo,

their only photo was four years old and it's really bad. Last night we got together to take

some band photos and it was really hard not to look super cheesy.

It's like how band photos are hard. I googled it and they all just look really dumb,

really cheesy. Yeah, I guess that's right. I think what I described is what I grew up seeing

as band photos in the mid-90s and it was this grunge era. So I guess if that's what your lens

is and you're trying to do that now when that's not really the music anymore and maybe that's what

bands still think band photos are, I don't know. If you go back to the oldies, rock and roll,

what were those band photos? They weren't. They were more like in a studio in the rock formation.

The band photos where people are holding an instrument but there's no amp or anything like that

or the drummer has the drumsticks. There's a lot of band photos like that because just from

googling it and they look just so cheesy. It seems like nowadays people are either getting really

creative and doing kind of goofy or cool type things with makeup or in unusual places where people

are standing on different things and really artsy or they're just doing similar to the old grunge
