And I am here in the studios in the St. Paul Center, along with my dear friend

and colleague, Rob Corzine. How are you doing, Rob? Doing great. Welcome. You and I were talking

about what we would really reflect upon in this particular episode, and once again, it comes back to

the relationship between the old and the new. Practically everything here does, right?

Yeah, that's that's right. So how to do in the period of one podcast a subject that touches

literally everything? That's right. I mean, it touches the Eucharist, it touches

Maryology, it touches all of the sacraments, and it also touches the lectionary that we hear read every Sunday because since 1970, we've sort of red

approach to scripture where you have a lot of the old read and the gospels coordinated.

So you're hearing about how Jesus is fulfilling the old.

Yeah.

So, you know, we hear Augustans, right, that the New Testament is concealed in the old

and the old is revealed in the new, but it doesn't boil down to just that.

Right.

And I'm not going to be going into the weeds, but it's worth mentioning that within less than 10 years,

many of the mainline Protestant denominations adopted the

Catholic Lectionary in the 70s, because they realized with this vast increase in the amount

of Scripture, it is going to have a profound effect. But after about 10 or 15 years of using

the Catholic lectionary, more and more non-Catholics began to recognize,
