Anyway, what we're going to do, if it's okay with everyone,

is partly explore the domestic political consequences of the international crisis.

There always are some, things change.

There was a brilliant essay written by the historian AJP Taylor on the domestic

political consequences of the First World War and there were many. So it's not parochial to do this,

but of course we're going to start with the bigger international picture. And I just want to

recently, you know, a few hours from when we were recording, there was very important, I think, resignation from Trump's director of the National Counterterrorism Center, saying, I can't in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.
