I sit across the table from people regularly and ask them to tell me the gospel,

and I can see how nervous and anxious that question makes them.

Maybe you've had that experience.

Somebody asked you, what is the gospel and, oh, I don't know how to respond.

I might not say the right thing.

That's because often we have made the gospel

far too complicated in the way that we talk about it. And it robs us of peace and hope and assurance

that the Lord means us to have. The gospel is unfathomably deep, but it is also beautiful in

its simplicity. And John and I have a conversation
