Summary

Research has shown that many teenagers will leave the faith after high school because they felt like the religion their parents offered was too black and white. Essentially, there was no room to ask hard questions. In today's interview we tackle the hard question of "Is the God of the Old Testament angry, sexist, and racist"? Along with other questions your kids will likely one day ask. Join host Jerrad Lopes as he sits down with author and professor David Lamb to dive into this topic.

Hey guys, welcome back to the Dad Tired Podcast. I just recently read a study from the

0:03.2

Barna Research Group talking about why teenagers are leaving their faith once they leave the house

0:08.8

and no longer attending the church and many of them no longer even believing in a God which is

0:13.2

so crazy to think about and really, really tragic. One of the things that they talked about in

0:17.6

that research was how they felt these teenagers felt that there wasn't enough room within the

Christian faith aka in their home to really explore all these really tough questions in the Bible.

into that but before we do I want to thank my friends over at Samaritan Ministries for sponsoring

1:15.0

today's episode. Samaritan Ministries is a biblical solution to healthcare where hundreds of

thousands of Christians across the nation bear one another's medical burdens through prayer and

the doctors, treatments and hospitals that are right for you. Medical bills are sent to Samaritan
