And Phil, conversation this week is certainly swirling around Bill Belichick.

I mentioned on early edition Monday, the conversations I had after the Indianapolis game and the loss in Germany,

that there was a decision reached

by the crafts on Bill Belichick and there would likely be a parting of the ways at the end

of the season. Here's me talking on early edition about this.

When they came out of Germany, conversations I had that week made it very clear that a decision was made and they were going to play out the string.

And at the end of the year, there would be a parting of the ways for a variety of reasons.

All right, Phil Perry.

You know, this is a huge, huge story that we are going to continue to report on as it does develop because until it's done, it's not done.

No question about it.

And listen, I think the question that people may have pop into their minds as they listen

to you speak on early edition and as they listen to us on TV, probably the last few weeks, honestly, since that Colts game, Tom?

The question might be for fans and for our audience, did you get the impression, based on the

conversations that you mentioned, that the Kraft's decision was a final decision?

Or was there any wiggle room if they finished with a flourish and went out the

rest of the way could ownership change its mind? Based on the conversation I had, it felt as if

the decision was fairly well sealed. However, I mean, if the Patriots finish with a flourish, could things change?
